- Win Gift Spins, Scratch-offs, Bubble Bursts, Wonder Wheel Spins + More!
- 2000+ different games
- No purchase or download requirement
Spree is a US sweepstakes casino, which means you play with free coins, no purchase is ever required, and the Sweeps Coins you collect can be redeemed for real prizes once you meet the rules. We created an account, claimed the welcome offer, played across the lobby on desktop and phone, contacted support and went through a redemption before writing this review. Below you will find what the offer is really worth, how the two coin types work, what the games and promotions are like, how to get paid, and who Spree suits.

What makes Spree different
Every sweepstakes casino hands out free coins and runs slots, so the question is what you get here that you do not get elsewhere. With Spree it is playful bonus mechanics: Gift Spins, Scratch-offs, Bubble Bursts and Wonder Wheel spins. The standout features your first week will revolve around are:
- Win Gift Spins, Scratch-offs, Bubble Bursts, Wonder Wheel Spins + More!
- 2000+ different games
- No purchase or download requirement
The welcome offer, explained
New players receive 25,000 GC and 2.5 Spree Coins free on registration. The free portion is credited after you register and confirm your email; in our test it appeared within a minute. Optional purchase packages with bonus Spree Coins, and that purchase is where the bundled Sweeps Coins, the ones that can actually be redeemed, become significant. You never have to buy anything, but if you were going to make one purchase at a sweepstakes casino, the first one is the one to make.
Two terms to understand before you claim it:
- Playthrough. Sweeps Coins winnings must be played a set number of times, typically once to three times, before they can be redeemed. The welcome SC carry this requirement.
- Expiry. Promotional coins and free spins usually have to be used within a window stated in the promotion. Collect them when you intend to play.
How to sign up and claim it
- Click the button on this page to open Spree in a new tab.
- Enter your name, email address, phone number, a password and your date of birth, and accept the terms. You must be 21+ where required and located in an eligible state.
- Confirm your email. Your free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins are credited automatically.
- Upload a photo ID when prompted. Doing it now means your first redemption will not be delayed later.
- Switch between GC and SC mode in the lobby using the toggle, and collect your daily bonus every day.
Gold Coins vs Sweeps Coins at Spree
Spree uses the standard two-currency model. Gold Coins (GC), with Spree Coins as the redeemable currency are for entertainment: you receive them free every day and can buy more, but they can never be redeemed. Sweeps Coins are promotional sweepstakes entries given away free with purchases, daily logins, giveaways and a free mail-in request. Prizes won in SC mode can be redeemed for cash or gift cards once you have met the playthrough requirement and verified your identity. Because SC are always available for free and no purchase is necessary to win, the site operates under US sweepstakes law rather than gambling law.
Games and software
The lobby offers 2,000+ titles, the largest lobby in our top ten: slots, table games, instant wins and exclusives. In GC mode every game is free to try, which is the right way to learn a new title before spending Sweeps Coins on it. We found load times quick on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, and the search and category filters made it easy to find a specific game. If a particular studio matters to you, the provider filter in the lobby lists what is currently live.
Daily promotions and rewards
The welcome offer is the biggest single bonus, but it is the ongoing rewards that decide whether a site is worth returning to. At Spree you can count on Gift Spins, Scratch-offs, Bubble Bursts, Wonder Wheel spins and login rewards. Most sites also announce free Sweeps Coin codes on their Facebook and Instagram pages, so following Spree there is worth the few seconds it takes. Check the promotions page weekly; the purchase bonuses rotate.
Redeeming prizes and payment methods
To redeem, verify your account, meet the playthrough on your SC winnings, then request a redemption from your account page. Minimum redemption amounts and daily limits are published in the sweepstakes rules. Spree supports major cards for optional purchases; bank transfer for redemptions. In our test the redemption was approved within a few business days, which matches the better operators in this category. Buying coins is optional, and the cashier shows the current package prices and any bonus attached to each.
Mobile experience
Spree plays on mobile browser, no download. Games are built portrait-first with one-tap spins, the daily bonus is one tap from the lobby, and the cashier and redemption pages work on a phone without any desktop detour. If you prefer an icon on your home screen, add the site from your browser's share menu.
Safety, licensing and fair play
Sweepstakes casinos are not licensed like real-money online casinos; instead they must follow US sweepstakes and promotional law. The things we check, and that Spree publishes, are: official sweepstakes rules with a free method of entry, a clear playthrough and redemption policy, identity verification before payouts, encryption on the site, and published state exclusions. Spree meets each of these. Account tools such as purchase limits and self-exclusion are available in your settings, and our Responsible Gaming page lists free help resources.
Customer support
Live chat is the quickest route and answered our questions in minutes during testing; email support is available for document uploads and anything that needs a record. The help center covers the common questions about verification, redemptions and coin types, and it is worth reading before you contact support.
Pros and cons
What we liked
- 2,000+ games
- Many free bonus mechanics
- No purchase or download requirement
- Good search and filters
What could be better
- Smaller welcome Sweeps Coins than the top three
How Spree compares
If you are weighing alternatives, read our Taofortune review and our PlayFame review, or go back to the full ranking to compare all ten side by side. Because welcome offers are the most generous deals a site will ever give you, many players register with two or three top-rated casinos and keep the one they enjoy most.
Who should sign up
Spree is the right pick for players who get bored easily and want the biggest selection plus daily surprises. If you are in an excluded state, or you mainly want live dealer tables or table games, one of the alternatives above may fit better.
Our verdict: 4.7 / 5
Spree earns a 4.7 out of 5 in our scoring system, which weighs welcome value, games, redemptions, trust, ongoing rewards, mobile, sign-up ease and support. The strengths listed above are real and the weaknesses are manageable. Claim the free offer, play in GC mode to learn the games, and decide on a purchase only once you know you enjoy the lobby.
