Do sweepstakes casinos require ID verification (KYC)?
Last verified: · By Emma B., Senior Content Writer · How we rank
Yes. Every sweepstakes casino we rank lets you register and play with free coins without uploading documents, but all 13 require identity verification before your first prize redemption: you confirm your email at sign-up and upload a photo ID when prompted. We treat verification before payouts as a safety requirement rather than a drawback, and we recommend completing it straight away so your first redemption is not delayed. There is no "no KYC" sweepstakes casino on our list.

How to sign up and verify, from our guide
Signing up takes about two minutes. Here is the whole process:
- Pick a site from the list above. Each card shows the welcome offer, standout features and our rating. Tap the button to open the sign-up page.
- Register. Enter your name, email address, phone number and date of birth, then agree to the terms. You must be 21 or older (18 on some sites) and located in an eligible state.
- Verify your account. Confirm your email and, when asked, upload a photo ID. Doing this straight away means your first redemption will not be delayed.
- Collect your free coins. Your welcome Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins land in your balance automatically. Check the promotions page for the first-purchase offer if you want to top up.
- Play and redeem. Switch between GC and SC modes in the lobby. Once you have met the playthrough requirement on Sweeps Coins winnings, head to the redemption page to cash out prizes.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a sweepstakes casino with no KYC?
Not among the sites we rank, and we would not list one. Identity verification before payouts is one of the fairness and safety checks in our scoring, alongside published sweepstakes rules, a free method of entry and encryption. You can still play for free without verifying; verification is needed to redeem.
What do I need to verify my account?
Confirm your email address during sign-up and upload a photo ID when the site asks for it. Live chat and email support can help with document uploads if anything is unclear.
Why do sweepstakes casinos verify identity?
To confirm you meet the minimum age, that you are located in an eligible state, and that prizes go to the right person, as the sweepstakes rules require. In our reviews, every site we recommend publishes those rules and verifies players before paying out.
Can I play without verifying?
Yes. Registration and free play need only an email confirmation. Verification becomes necessary when you want to redeem Sweeps Coins prizes, so doing it early avoids a delay later.
